Approval for a two-tower hotel building at Albert Embankment in Vauxhall
Lambeth Council have approved plans for two new 26 and 29 storey hotels on London’s Albert Embankment. Clarke Nicholls Marcel are proud to have worked on this project along side Hopkins for Ocubis.

Associate Structural Engineer
Fredy Tincopa has recently joined CNM as an Associate Structural Engineer. After graduating in Germany and working as a Structural Engineer for 10 years, he came to the UK in 2002 and became chartered in 2006. Fredy has been responsible for running projects and producing scheme designs for a wide range of new developments and refurbishments/alterations of existing buildings across a variety of sectors.

Stroudley Walk
CNM’s long-standing Clients MUSE developments, in partnership with local housing provider and land-owner Poplar HARCA, have received outline planning approval for the proposed construction of 281 new residential units, including 50% Affordable units, at Stroudley Walk, Bromley-by-Bow.
MUSE have commissioned CNM, RM_A Architects, Insignis (BS) Consulting, Calford Seadon project management and Churchman Thornhill Finch landscape designers, to work through RIBA Stages 3 and 4 to develop the design of this ambitious regeneration scheme which promises to bring new life to the area including new retail units and community spaces at ground floor, with new landscaping including a pocket-park formed between 4 blocks rising up to 25 storeys

NHS London Procurement Partnership
We are pleased to have secured a place on the new NHS London Procurement Partnership Dynamic Purchasing System for Estates and Facilities Consultancy Services. This is a NHS and public sector framework through which CNM will provide Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy Services under Category No.14 in the Greater London, South East, Midlands and South West regions.

Brent Cross Celebrate 45th Birthday
Brent Cross have celebrated their 45th Birthday this week. CNM are very proud to have provided civil and structural engineering services at Brent Cross since 1993.

Associate Structural Engineers have joined CNM
Agnieszka Rucinska and Chris O’Regan have recently joined CNM as Associate Structural Engineers.
Agnieszka previously worked for NCE Top 100 consultants. She progressed her career in structural engineering, gaining over fifteen years of experience in variety of UK and International projects. Agnieszka also promotes WISE campaign by helping fellow female engineers in their professional development.
Chris has over 30 years of experience working within the field of structural engineering. A Fellow of both the Institution of Structural Engineers and Institution of Civil Engineers, he joined Clarke Nicholls Marcel as an Associate in 2021 and is responsible for managing technical staff training and mentoring.

Steel erection progressing at 150 Holborn
The new steel superstructure works are progressing quickly for Dar Groups new headquarters building at 150 Holborn.
Steelwork contractor Severfield started erecting the main frame in August and have already completed over half of the 8 storeys.
CNM and Severfield have also worked closely with the Main Contractor, McLaren Construction, to design and detail the steelwork to coordinate with the MEP services passing through the beams.

Bluewater Zara Reconfiguration & Extension
Fantastic effort during these unprecedented and difficult times from the Main Contractor, RG Group, who has successfully completed the primary structural frame for the new-build service yard extension of the existing Zara store at Bluewater Shopping Centre.
Other construction works are still on programme to be completed in August and when it opens to the public, the existing store will be doubled in size to create a new 37,000 ft2 MSU over two levels and will be one of Zara’s largest stores in the country.
CNM’s appointment by Landsec follows our successful delivery of previous extensions at the Centre since 2012 for other major retailers including Primark, H&M, Arcadia and WHS.

Great Scotland Yard Hotel Opens
CNM’s latest hotel project has now opened. The 152 room Great Scotland Yard Hotel and adjacent five storey townhouse are part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt. CNM provided full structural engineering design services to the developer Galliard Group and worked with EPR Architects. The £75m project comprised a new two storey basement and a six storey above ground concrete frame, behind a retained façade.

Bluewater Zara Reconfiguration & Extension
CNM has been commissioned by Landsec to provide full civil and structural services for the major reconfiguration and extension of the existing Zara store at Bluewater.
Site works are programmed to commence shortly and the new store is set to be open in Autumn 2020.
When complete, the existing store will have doubled in size to create a new 37,000 ft2 MSU over two levels and will be one of Zara’s largest stores in the country.
This appointment follows CNM’s successful delivery of other previous extensions at the Centre since 2012 for other major retailers including Primark, H&M, Arcadia and WHS.
