UCLH Phase 5

University College London Hospital Phase 5 Reaches RIBA Stage 3

CNM have recently issued the RIBA Stage 3 report for the new University College London Hospital Phase 5 building project.

The proposed facility will have a total GIA of 10,500m², accommodate the RNTNE, EDH and other Head and Neck services, and will serve approximately 1000 adult and paediatric outpatients a week.

The project is being designed to BIM Level 2 in line with the current UK Government requirements for public sector projects.

Conditional planning approval was granted by Camden in June 2015 and the new construction works will start on site in mid-2016.

Wasabi Cambridge

Wasabi Cambridge Opens

Wasabi Cambridge opened its doors to hungry customers on 18th June 2015.

The largest of its type with 100 covers, Wasabi Cambridge is located in a sensitive conservation area within the heart of the city.

CNM worked successfully with Haskoll Architects on the major structural alteration and reconfiguration of the 4-storey 4,200ft2 building originally built in 1939.

GVA move into hi-tec office space at 65 Gresham Street

Work is complete on this extensive refurbishment and fitout of this two storey 50,000 sq ft office space for commercial property advisor GVA in the heart of the City.

British Landing Reveal Party

British Land Office Refurbishment Reveal Party, York House

CNM representatives Mark Daly and Roy Colim attend the formal unveiling of British Land’s 45,000ft2 office refurbishment at their Marble Arch London HQ, York House.

Having originally designed the structure in 2004, CNM were reappointed in 2014 to provide structural engineering services with the main focal point being the formation of a dramatic new atrium stairwell linking third to fifth floors.

The project has also achieved a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating.

Brent Terrace Plots 53 & 54 goes in for Planning

Brent Terrace Plots 53 & 54, which forms part of the 1st Reserved Matters Planning Application for the 1st Phase (1A North) of the £4.5bn Brent Cross Cricklewood Regeneration, has been submitted by the Brent Cross Cricklewood Development Partners (Hammerson and Standard Life Investments) in February 2015.

CNM are providing structural engineering services in conjunction with the 2014 Stirling Prize winners Haworth Tompkins Architects for Plots 53 & 54 which will provide 47 new affordable homes, most of which will accommodate residents being located from the nearby Whitefield Estate.

Cineworld Milton Keynes 4DX theatre has now opened

The new auditorium (the UK’s first 4DX theatre) has taken a total of five months to complete and includes 140 seats plus a curved screen measuring at an incredible 5.8m x 10.5m

Demolition Completed for Great Scotland Yard Hotel

Demolition work behind the retained façade for the proposed new 234 bed hotel is now complete.  Piling  works, including the installation of secant piles to form a new double basement, are to commence this month.

CNM awarded a place on the new Peabody Consultant’s Framework

We’re delighted to announce that CNM has successfully retained its place on Peabody’s new Consultant’s Framework for the provision of Structural Engineering services.

CNM worked on a number of projects with Peabody under their first Framework, details of which can be seen in the residential section of our project library.

CNM awarded a place on the NHS London Procurement Partnership Construction Consultancy Services Framework

We’re pleased to announce that CNM has successfully gained a place on Lot 5 of the NHS London Procurement Partnership’s (LPP) Construction Consultancy Services Framework, for the provision of Civil & Structural Engineering Services.

The LPP Framework is for use by all LPP members.
