Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Wing

The 17,000m2 Elizabeth Garrett Anderson (EGA) Wing provides 45 inpatient beds and replaces the maternity and neonatal facilities in the historic Elizabeth Garrett Anderson and Obstetric Hospital.

The EGA Wing is a 5 storey building with two levels of basement over the entire site footprint and a smaller third basement in the core area for plant.

The two upper basements link through to the University College Hospital Tower building to enable transfer of patients and resources without the need to exit outside the buildings. These buildings are also linked at levels 1, 2 and 3 by enclosed steel bridges to allow the transfer of patients.
