York House Refurbishment

Striking 45,000ft2 CAT B fit-out of British Land’s London HQ.

CNM originally designed the structure in 2004 and were reappointed in 2014 to provide structural engineering services for the new refurbishment.

All works were undertaken within an occupied mixed-use building with complex phasing and out of hours requirements.

Main focal point is the formation of a dramatic new atrium stairwell linking third to fifth floors which required major structural alterations and strengthening to existing structure.

A new reception leads to a visitor reception showcase area which includes high quality joinery elements.

Office areas comprise board rooms, meeting rooms, open plan areas and new copy/print/tea points.

Scope included IT structured cabling and an extensive AV equipment package
